Hello, I’m Scott D. Keefe Sr., a lifelong technologist and full-stack developer with a passion for programming, data architecture, and system innovation that’s been burning bright since I was 13. From hacking games and reverse-engineering computer systems at the ROM level to building robust, scalable solutions for modern businesses, I’ve spent decades immersed in the art and science of code. I have many other skills as well and love to create all kinds of incredible things.

Whether it’s crafting elegant algorithms, designing intricate database systems, or troubleshooting microcontrollers like Raspberry Pi, I live and breathe technology, approaching every challenge with curiosity, precision, and a language-agnostic mindset. I am experienced in retail and online sales and marketing as I describe below. I have handled hazardous material in production chemical environments at Polaroid.
With over 14 years as a Technical Systems Specialist and Database Programmer at Jamestown Distributors, I honed my ability to install, maintain, and optimize electronic systems while delivering exceptional customer service. I am adept at utilizing MySQL, Maria, Postgres, MS SQL Server and associated suites as well as U2 Universe (at the lowest levels). My hands-on experience extends to programming microcontrollers for automation, developing Python scripts for diagnostics, and leveraging SQL to create everything from process pipelines to complex business reports from disparate sources. PL/SQL triggers, procedures, etc – No problem. Earlier roles at Paratek Pharmaceuticals and Polaroid sharpened my skills in system maintenance, database management recovery and backup, with the goal of improving efficiency and reliability.
What sets me apart is my versatility and deep-rooted love for problem-solving. I’m as comfortable diving into low-level C code for embedded systems as I am architecting cloud-based solutions with AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc. or designing user-friendly interfaces. My paradigm-agnostic approach—whether procedural, functional, or object-oriented—allows me to adapt seamlessly to any project, from legacy systems to cutting-edge IoT applications. I thrive in environments where I can get my hands dirty, assist or lead teams, and bridge the gap between technical complexity and practical outcomes.
I also have experience managing teams and associated processes, going back as far as my 10 years with Polaroid as a corporate quality assurance tech, where I led teams on expeditions to production facilities and performed corporate quality audits on whole facilities. I am adept at retail sales and managing inventory, customers and processes related to online sales. I have designed, managed and implemented custom solution in retail, both online and in a physical store.
I have very high level skills with inventory, customer and purchasing systems as well as phone centers and sales. Custom integration and usage of (CRM/ERP) systems both locally and from cloud providers; from the lowest level (programmatically) to the highest level (web interfaces). Reporting to marketing and sales directors by creating SQL reports and producing detailed dynamic graphical reports to their specification for complex questions over customers, inventory, purchasing and specific segments over time frames (often with great nuance). Zendesk API, Phocas backend data transformations, Shopify programmatic level manipulation and data transforms; the list goes on.
Beyond the code, I’m a collaborative team player with a knack for simplifying complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders. I am physically fit, driven by a commitment to health, and fueled by a relentless curiosity that keeps me learning and innovating. When I’m not coding, you’ll find me exploring new tech, refining my skills, or sharing knowledge to empower others. I also have experience managing teams and associated processes, going back as far a my time with Polaroid as a corporate quality assurance tech, where I led teams on expeditions to production facilities and performed corporate quality audits on them. I am adept at retail sales and managing inventory, customers and processes related to online sales. I have designed, managed and implemented custom solution in retail, both online and in a physical store.
I’m excited to bring my expertise to a forward-thinking company in sales, management, IT or technical specialist/programming, where I can combine my technical prowess with my passion for delivering high-quality solutions. Check out my resume for more details on my journey, and let’s connect to build something extraordinary together.
